Registration Notes

Yoga Registration
  • You must be in good physical and emotional health and have the strength and ability to complete our beginner sequence of Yoga’s top 25 poses.
  • In general, no specific prior yoga training is required; however, we suggest a minimum of one year of consistent yoga practice with a certified yoga instructor.
  • Applicants with less than one years' experience as yoga students may be asked to take additional yoga classes within the training period at the discretion of the program director.
  • Upon acceptance, you'll receive a comprehensive guide to the training and a reading list so you may begin your exciting training journey. We do not expect you to purchase the books/materials unless you wish to, otherwise you can exercise financial judiciousness and share books within the group or obtain at library.

Information Session

The FYI holds information sessions each quarter. The information session, from 7:30-9:00 begins with a mini-class led by a member of the FYI faculty followed by a info-session and Q & A. Refer to the Programs & Workshops page to see the dates of the scheduled sessions. A meeting with the program director helps prospective trainees to get a full understanding of the curriculum.
