Public Classes During Yoga Teacher Training

All classes are ongoing unless otherwise stated. The Florida Yoga Institute hosts a monthly yoga teacher training four days a month. During those four days we offer an 8 AM class and a 4:00 PM class. These are the only classes we offer during the training they are uniquely designed classes which you will thoroughly enjoy.

We Love Bare Feet and Empty Bellies

Come to class with an empty or near empty belly and clean feet for a comfortable class experience. After class, drink plenty of fluids and perhaps take an Epsom salt bath to relax the body.

Please help us maintain a fragrance-free environment. Refrain from wearing any perfumes or scented body products.

We Rent Mats

Yoga mats can be rented for $1 before class; we encourage you to have your own mat. A variety of mats are available for purchase at the studio boutique. Water is also available for purchase for $1.00.

Honor your body

Whether you are new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, do only what feels right to you.  Please inform your teacher of any health concerns or injuries before class. If you cannot do a pose, your teacher will help you modify poses for your greatest comfort and benefit. If you encounter a pose that you are not quite ready for, the teacher will offer modifications. You can also opt to rest, or do a pose that you would like to work on.

Please stay for the duration of the class including Savasana (relaxation) and meditation which is a beneficial and important part of the yoga experience.

What to Wear

The studio is kept on the warm side to support your practice, please dress accordingly. Loose, light and comfortable clothing allows maximum movement.
